Norway commits NOK 1.5b to strengthen health systems

The Norwegian government has asked Parliament to commit NOK 1.5 billion over ten years to strengthen health systems in developing countries by supporting the second phase of the innovative financing mechanism IFFIm. The news was announced in connection with the revised fiscal budget for 2010, where Norway cuts this year’s aid by NOK 250 million.
